Welding Methods for Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings:
Welding uses a hot melt process. Beveled edges are then welded to the pipe ends using manual or automated welding, fusing the two fittings together. Welding provides high joint strength and a good seal. However, on-site welding joints often struggle to meet gas shielding standards, leading to weld rust and a direct reduction in pipe life. Installation quality is highly dependent on the welder's skill, making consistent quality difficult.

In the projects handled by Zhiqi, argon arc welding remains a common connection method. It is suitable for a wide range of pipe diameters, pressures, and pressures, and can utilize the advantages of stainless steel pipe fittings. Welded stainless steel pipe connections are safer and more reliable, lacking internal sealing rings and forming a dead joint. They are widely applicable for both exposed and concealed installations, and are suitable for both cold and hot water systems. Once installed, they are a permanent fixture, requiring minimal maintenance. This joint has been used for many years on copper pipes, and the Ministry of Construction now also recommends this jointless connection for stainless steel pipes.

(1) The order of cost price and sales price from high to low is: No. 1 > No. 2 > No. 3.
(2) No. 1-2 is an on-site assembly type (special tools are required) installation, which is quick and simple and suitable for open installation. When the rubber ring loses its function, No. 1 can be replaced by removing the nut, and No. 2 should be sawed off and replaced due to the dead connection. No. 3 is suitable for concealed burial and wall embedment, and of course it can also be openly installed.
(3) A brief introduction to the No. 1 convex installation: Special installation tools are required during installation. The installation range is DN15-50 (DN15-20) diameter pipes. When installing, a special tool is used to press the ferrule on the outer wall of the pipe. When installing (DN25-50) diameter pipes, a tool is used to expand a ring-shaped step on the inner wall of the pipe.
(4) Brief introduction to the installation of the 2nd clamping type: Special installation tools are required during installation. The installation range is DN15-100. Insert the pipe into the pipe fitting and use the special tool to clamp the pipe wall into a hexagonal shape. The internal sealing ring is also deformed into a hexagonal shape.

(5) 3rd welding type (socket argon arc welding type): The installation range is DN15-100. During installation, insert the pipe into the pipe fitting and use the argon arc welding machine to melt the extended slope edge originally reserved on the pipe fitting. No other welding materials are required. It is a body welding and the construction is simple. (Butt argon arc welding type) The installation range is DN125-200. During installation, align the ends of the pipe and the pipe fitting and weld them with the argon arc welding machine. However, stainless steel welding rods are required as welding materials. The construction is somewhat difficult.

(6) Concealed pipes should meet the same life requirements as the building as much as possible. Therefore, water pipes should preferably use a jointless connection method. The service life of the stainless steel pipe can reach 70-100 years, which refers to pure stainless steel pipes without other materials such as rubber rings. At the same time, buried pipes require as few joints as possible (one more joint means one more leak hazard), and most metal pipes (stainless steel pipes, copper pipes) used in buildings are welded.
