In everyday work, we often encounter straight pipes bent into various shapes for use. Elbows are formed using a complete set of bending dies. Elbows are primarily used in oil and infusion pumps, and they also play a crucial role in aircraft and their engines. Given such crucial applications, how much do we know about elbow processing? Below, we'll discuss several common elbow processing methods.
1. Punching: The pipe end is extended to the desired size and shape, using a tapered core in the punch.
2. Inflation: One method involves placing rubber into the pipe and kneading the upper portion with a punch to create a bulge. Another method, hydraulic expansion, involves filling the middle of the pipe with liquid, where the liquid pressure expands the elbow into the desired shape. Most corrugated pipes are produced using this method.
3. Casting: One end or portion of the pipe is pulled out using a die forging machine to reduce the outer diameter. Common casting machines include rotary, connecting rod, and roller types. Roller Type: A core is placed into the tube, and the roller is pushed outward to create a rounded edge.

Elbow Applications:
1. Among various elbow types, elbows are inevitably used in applications such as marine piping, automotive fuel lines, and other pipelines. Compared to other types of elbows, curved elbows offer many advantages. Firstly, various materials flow smoothly through the elbow, resulting in less and more uniform impact on the tube wall. Secondly, the elbow itself exhibits less stress concentration and is therefore highly impact-resistant.
2. Air conditioning and refrigeration pipes primarily include elbows and U-shaped tubing; bathroom applications now increasingly utilize elbows, faucets, towel racks, and S-shaped fittings.
